The German Alexander von Humboldt Foundation has approved full funding for a research group linkage project involving the Croatian Institute of History – Branch for the History of Slavonia, Srijem and Baranja in Slavonski Brod, the Ruhr Bochum Center for Mediterranean Studies and the Department of Eastern and Southeastern European History at the Leipzig University.
A three-year research project entitled “Regional Translocality in Historical Perspective: The Case of Slavonia and Bosnia” will study translocal historical interactions between Slavonia and Bosnia, with an emphasis on the period of Ottoman presence in these areas (1463-1878).
The project leaders are Markus Koller, Stefan Rohdewald and Dino Mujadžević.
Members of the Croatian research group are: Stanko Andrić, Dinko Župan, Rudolf Barišić, Anđelko Vlašić and research assistant Okan Büyüktapu.
